ZELL AM SEE - one of the most spectacular ski resorts in Austria,- located in the are of northern Alps, between the towns of Zell am See, Kaprun and Thumersbach, 85 km away from Salzburg. The resort belongs to the "Europe - Sport region", which unites three major ski resorts. Highest peak - Grosskloner (3798m). This region is popular for its snowy peaks (pistes can reach the altitude of 3100m) and good skiing infrastructure.
Zell am See resort is located in 757m above sea level, on the shores of a beautiful lake Zell. This place suits for landscape gazers, photographers, extreme sports lovers - its beautiful nature, quality pistes and lake Zell leaves everyone charmed.
Mountain pistes: altitude of 757 - 3029m, lenght of the pistes combined: 132km,- 25km of black slopes, 51km of red slopes and 56km of blue slopes. Resort has 60 ski lifts.
There are artificial snow making machines, part of the pistes are lit during the night for night skiing, and also you can find special snowboarding slopes.
Other active indoor/outdoor sports: around 60km of hiking and ski runners trails, slopes for sledges, ice skating, gym, indoor tennis courts, billiards room, bowling, indoor golf, 2 swimming pools, various saunas, jacuzzi.
You'll always find a resting place when tired - place is swirling with cozy huts, cafe's and small restaurants. Use the possibility to get your first espresso in the morning at an altitude of 2km!
